Flexographic Printing Machine Advantages
The first benefit of using flexographic printing is its adaptability to many materials. Flexible plastics, retail bags, wallpaper and beverage cartons are all ideal candidates for flexographic printing. Another benefit is the variety of inks that can be used. When letterpress was popular, companies were limited in their printing approaches due to a small number of ink and printing surface options. The ink used in letterpress was water-based, so it took a certain amount of time to dry and avoid smudging. While some companies used commercial dryers to speed up the process, this added additional equipment and maintenance costs.
Additionally, Flexo label printing is a more streamlined process, with high press speeds and faster production and drying times than other printing methods.
