At U.S. Tape & Label, we’re big fans of craft breweries. Today we supply label solutions for craft brewers across the country, but it all started with one local brewery: Piney River in Bucyrus, Missouri.
The USTL team attended our first Craft Brewery conference in Washington D.C. in 2013. We were excited to jump in and even more thrilled to meet the team from Piney River at the show. Our love for working with creative and independent craft brewers has only grown from there.
Our craft brewery story came full circle this summer when we partnered with the Missouri Craft Brewers Guild to provide the labels for their collaboration beer project, “Missouri Loves Company™”.
The creation of this beer is a collaboration with 28 member breweries and the support of sponsors like U.S. Tape & Label. Proceeds will directly benefit the Missouri Craft Brewers Guild, which advocates for the craft beer industry at the state and federal level and promotes independent craft brewers in Missouri. Which local brewery was in charge of brewing the beer this year? You guessed it: Piney River.

When we first met Brian and Joleen from Piney River, they asked if U. S. Tape & Label had ever considered putting a label on a beer can and the rest, as they say, is history. We took what we learned at the conference back to the team in St. Louis and got to work preparing to help brewers like Piney River for what they promised would be the future of the beer packaging industry. And they were right! Just think about how many of your favorite beers come in a can these days compared to just ten years ago.
We took the time to meet with industry professionals and test numerous methods and materials until we dialed in on a solution that would offer our craft brewery clients both high quality and quick turnaround times for their beer label needs.
Once we had a great beer label solution to offer, it was time to show craft brewers like Piney River that we were the reliable partner they were looking for. We built strong relationships and got to know our customers in the beer industry. Today, we continue to do whatever we can to help keep their dreams alive – from making their products stand out on the shelf to working with them to find the right price point for their budget.
Today, we partner with breweries across the country to create fun and unique labels for their bottles and cans. As an Allied Trade Member of the Missouri Craft Brewers Guild, we provide services and support to our home state’s growing community of craft breweries.
