How USTL Began Creating Custom Beer Labels

U.S. Tape & Label wasn’t always the beer label expert we are today. Through careful testing and research, we honed our labeling craft over the years to create a variety of high-quality labeling options for brewing companies everywhere. To understand our dedication to labels and packaging for craft beers, get to know the history behind the decision.

Beginning Our Beer Brand Label Career

In 2013, USTL decided to attend the Craft Breweries Conference in Washington, D.C. This would be our first beer industry conference, so in preparation, we invested in a large booth, additional staff, and labeling equipment. This event would mark the start of our dive into creating craft beer labels such as beer bottle labels and our expansion into the industry as a whole.

At the show, a local brewery from Bucyrus, MO called Piney River Brewing, approached our booth. Brian and Joleen Durham, representatives from the brewery, asked if we had ever considered putting a label on a beer can. At that time, we had never thought of attempting something like that. The Durhams explained that they believed the industry would be moving in the direction of beer can labels, and if we figured out how to create these labels efficiently, we would find ourselves with new clients across the country.

Investing In Beer Label’s Visual Elements

With the information we had gathered at the conference, the next step was more research. We worked closely with our internal materials department and our partners to find out what materials would work best for beer can labels. After a year of working on personalized beer labels with varying looks and materials, we met with other businesses in the industry to reach a final solution that was high-quality and allowed us a fast turnaround time so we could service breweries around the world as quickly as possible.

We committed ourselves to becoming a premier beer label maker, finding new ways to use digital printing, custom labeling, and unique solutions like pressure-sensitive labels to make our clients stand out. Our team focused on creating a variety of label layouts and customizing their services to fit each brewery’s needs. One of the most important things that businesses in the industry are looking for is reliable partners. A labeling company should represent itself as a complete solution for clients, not just a way to print labels. That’s why USTL focused on offering our clients a solution to apply to other products they have, assisting them with pricing, and working closely with them to determine which materials and adhesives would make their products stand out even more.

USTL’s Dedication to Success

Through the years, we have started working with many new customers and partnered with clients around the world. The beer label market quickly became more crowded, but we were prepared for the spike in competition. We pride ourselves on honesty, faithfulness, and consistency. The personalities we’ve met in the beer industry are refreshing and inviting. They all want to create the best product on the market and make people happy. We continuously innovate our services and strive to bring them the solutions they need to keep their dreams alive. USTL provides everything a product needs to catch attention on a store shelf.
